The Coach House History
This quaint and prettily perched inn stands in the picturesque village of Roundwood. Built in the 1820’s and formally known as “The Royal Coach House”. The Coach House is a lively village pub restaurant. The pub has been completely refurbished to the highest standard, offering absolute comfort and luxury with lots of pews and plush leather seating, plenty of nooks and crannies, open fires, well-spaced tables, a tiled and timbered floor and a low-ceiling which lends it an overall harmonious rustic atmosphere.
The Coach House also offers accommodation at affordable prices. All rooms are en-suite, are tastefully designed, have TV and are equipped with hair-dryers. We have tea & coffee making facilities in our lobby area .
Roundwood is a haven for hikers, mountain runners, adventurers & MTB enthusiasts, as well as golfers and anglers. Some of the finest courses in the area, including Druids Glen & Powerscourt are only a short drive. The Wicklow Coastline offers some of the best sea angling in the country. walking or running the Wicklow Way has become a very popular challenge with stunning views and challenging climbs.
